Walter J. Bristow, III

Born in Columbia, S.C., Dr. Bristow received his Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina. He attended medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, graduating with his medical degree in 1983. He completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Bristow did his Fellowship training in Gastroenterology at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke Medical Center in Chicago, Ill. Dr. Bristow is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of multiple professional societies and is a fellow of American College of Physicians and a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology. He has served on numerous local medical committees. He has been listed in the “Guide to America’s Top Physicians” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.
